The Howell Family
After raising five boys who have grown up and started families of their own, Aaron and Sue were inspired to create a haven near the Idaho wilderness to prioritize family gatherings, connection to each other, and connection to nature.
The H5 Ranch creates just a handful of opportunities each year for guests to rent the entire ranch for weddings and events.
Aaron Howell
Aaron Howell was the founder and President of Northwest Lineman College, an educational institution that trains workers for successful careers in the electrical lineworker industry. With four campuses nationwide, it has helped thousands begin safe and rewarding careers in the power delivery industry. Since Aaron’s retirement, he has invested his time in his family and oversees the ranch's operation through his sons and their families.
Sue Howell
Sue Howell raised five sons in Boise and is known for her kind spirit and gentle nature. She has been active in the church and community her entire life. Sue also spent 30 years teaching junior high science and volunteering in grade schools in Idaho. Her commitment to a high level of education is unwavering, and her empathy and patience are well-known to past students, friends, and associates. With her husband Aaron, she helped found Northwest Lineman College and was the primary architect of its educational philosophies, which have improved training and education in the power industry nationwide.
Austin & Journey Howell
Austin is the third of five Howell boys and manages the operations of the H5 Ranch. Austin and Journey are the proud parents of two children and have started building their family legacy. They were the first to test out the ranch’s wedding venue for their special day and are committed to facilitating lifelong memories for guests.
